Basic Function:

The VP Business Development for Digital Transformation Benchmarking will lead a sales initiative in an exciting and fast-growing practice area at Greenwich Associates.  Our Digital Transformation Benchmarking products enable bank leadership teams to prioritize large and important technology investment decisions in an industry undergoing a period of massive disruption. 

The VP Business Development will generate and close business within a portfolio of leading banks, fintechs, and other financial services ecosystem providers.  Our Digital Benchmarking products allow banks to evaluate where they are in their digital transformation journey relative to peers and discover capability gaps relative to best-in-class today, as well as in the coming years.  Greenwich Associates evaluates bank investments through a range of digital benchmarks as well as competitive client experience feedback.  Greenwich is uniquely positioned to provide this type of data and market intelligence due to existing Client Experience work, broad industry perspective and decades of trust within the highest levels at top banks. 

The target audiences for our work include, but are not limited to, Heads of:

  • Commercial and Corporate Banking, COOs, Payments/Transaction Banking/Cash Management, Innovation, Strategy, Data & Analytics, Onboarding, Customer Service, Digital Channels, Digital Transformation, Salesforce Enablement, Credit, KYC/Risk/Compliance, Trade, Marketing.

 

Principal Accountabilities:
  • Sell Digital Transformation Products by:
    • Refining, detailing, and executing against a sales plan to effectively win business in the top 100 U.S. financial services companies.
    • Leveraging existing relationships, institutional knowledge, and contacts in the U.S. commercial and corporate banking industry while working with fellow banking team members who are marketing other products at many of these banks.
  • Tailor pitch materials, meet with prospects, write proposals, and close sales.
  • Meet/exceed annual revenue targets.
  • Provide specific feedback on product design, pricing and service to increase revenue potential and enhance customer value.
  • Provide input into product positioning based upon knowledge of competitors.
  • Track sales activity and target specific contacts for upsell initiatives and other campaigns.
  • Report to Head of Banking and work closely with the Head of Product for Digital Transformation in Banking.

 

Qualifications/Experience:
  • BA/BS required, MBA a plus.
  • Minimum 5+ years sales experience. Sales to banks and/or fintech providers in the U.S commercial and corporate space a plus.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills at various levels in targeted organizations including c-suite executives.
  • Demonstrated success in a fast-paced new business development environment with a quantifiable track record of meeting/exceeding goals.
  • Ability to manage, track and close a large number of opportunities across various market segments with differing content and value propositions for each.
  • Passion to be part of an exciting period of transformation in the banking industry.
  • Strong coordination skills to interact effectively across support functions including existing sales teams, product development and marketing.
  • Experience providing constructive feedback to product development and management teams based upon direct client and prospect input.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
