Marketing Associate - Banking

Basic Function:
Greenwich Associates annually gathers data via interviews with over 30,000 senior executives responsible for their companies’ banking relationships (collectively referred to as buy-side research partners) and leverages this data in advising 100 major global and regional banks (collectively referred to as the sell-side) on how to strengthen their customer relationships and earn a larger share of business.

The Marketing Associate – Banking will support the Director of Marketing in executing sell-side marketing plans, buy-side marketing plans, and improving research partner experience. Lead generation to drive sales is the goal of sell-side marketing. Maintaining and improving our access to key corporate decision-makers on use of banking and transaction banking services are the goals of buy-side marketing and client experience. The Marketing Associate – Banking will report to the Director of Marketing and work closely with Banking team members in the U.S., Europe, and Asia.

Principal Accountabilities:
Sell-side Responsibilities:

- Support the Director of Marketing in building and executing email marketing campaigns targeted to senior executives at corporate and commercial banks.
- Create marketing collateral to support the promotion of data products, including Digital Transformation, Focus & Explorer, Middle Market Banking Asia/Middle Market Banking Europe/Middle East, US Tier 3 & 4 programs, etc.
- Support the development of email communications to reach new potential buyers (Heads of Innovation, Data & Analytics, Digital Transformation, etc.).
- Manage distribution of email campaigns (approx. 30+ touches per year featuring market data and insights, industry insights, awards, etc.).
- Oversee the marketing distribution lists that includes clients and prospects.
- Track analytics from campaigns to identify Marketing Qualified Leads and Sales Qualified Leads to support the sales teams.
- Manage Commercial Banking and Large Corporate Facilities Awards processes globally.
- Manage Customer Experience Award processes.

Buy-side Responsibilities:

- Create and distribute marketing campaigns to support syndicated and custom research with senior financial and treasury professionals.
- Track results of emails via Click Dimensions and review engagement levels of research partners.
- Follow up with ad hoc requests by research partners and liaise with executive interviewing teams to ensure optimal experience for study participants.
- Manage content development for research partners, including market trend research, compensation benchmarks, competitive insights, webinars, etc.
- Enhance interviewing experience by developing questionnaire content and assisting in creating of interviewing materials.
- Support relationship development and executive interviewing teams.
- Assist in the development of creating target markets for syndicated research studies. 



- Minimum of 4 years of relevant market related experience in financial services.
- BS/BA, preferably with concentration in marketing or business related field.
- Knowledge of email marketing systems (i.e. Click Dimensions).
- A creative mindset and the ability to conceptualize and develop new products.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Strong project management and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Prior market research experience a plus.
